Training

Matt graduated from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and completed postgraduate training in London and South East England. This included significant time at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, known for its association with pioneering surgeon Sir Archie McIndoe. Further honing expertise, Matt completed fellowships at the St Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Chelmsford, a globally renowned institution, and underwent advanced training through the Extremity Reconstruction Fellowship at Imperial College Healthcare, London.

Current Role

Matt is currently the Clinical Lead of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare, London. In addition to this leadership role, Matt is the Training Programme Director for the Pan Thames Plastic Surgery High Surgical Training Programme, contributing significantly to the next generation of surgeons. Matt is also a regular teacher on the Liverpool Open Tibia Course, and actively engages in charitable work, training surgeons in Myanmar in the field of limb reconstruction.
